La TORTUGA was the first boat in the Avalon fleet, and the original floating hotel of Jardines de la Reina. After nearly 30 years of use, it was retired and replaced with the brand new and luxurious AVALON FLEET 4. Where Tortuga was permanently moored in the small bay where Avalon has its headquarters, Avalon 4 travels back and forth to the mainland to shuttle guests and guides. During the fishing week, it drops anchor in the bay where Tortuga had its home, and anglers have the middle zone of the archipelago to fish in exclusivity.
The Avalon Fleet 4 is 180 feet in length, and has 3 decks. There are 20 staterooms on the boat, each with 2 beds, a bathroom and shower, and ample storage space. There are multiple plug-ins for charging your electronics, and each room is equipped with A/C and a constant supply of freshwater from the de-salinization tanks aboard the boat.
There is ample space aboard this luxury yacht for just about everything. Aft, there is a huge area used for anglers and divers to store their gear, close to where guides and skiffs meet guests each day. There is an inside common area with couches and chairs, a sitting area outside the dining room, and an upper deck with a bar and two hot tubs. Meals are served buffet style inside.
