AKUANI RIVER LODGE, COLOMBIA - 2026
I have just secured a great week at my favorite jungle destination……..Akuani River Lodge in eastern Colombia. In my opinion, Akuani has just about the perfect mix of a reasonable price, comfortable lodging and excellent service, and a variety of fishing.
You may already know this but the itinerary here is just about perfect. Our group will fish the first two days of our week on the Vichada River and the many “lagoons” that have become separated from the river during the dry season. Our quarry will be Peacock Bass, some of them pushing twenty pounds.
Day three will see us get up early and venture by speedboat downriver to a wall-tent camp set up near the banks of the mighty Orinoco. We fish two days in the rapids for Payara (Vampire fish) before returning to the lodge to round out the week with a final two days of Peacock Bass.
There is already considerable interest in this week. I believe that the trip will be full my Mid-January. If you want to lock in a spot, let me know. If we fill the week quickly, I will consider adding another week if I can get one.

Rate: $4995 per person, double occupancy (this includes 2 nights in Bogota, in country transportation, all food and drinks at the lodge, and 6 days of fishing)
