DUO IRIS GETS 2nd PLACE!....AND MORE

Many of you have been with me in Havana, and been lucky to meet, and listen to, my friends Dayami and Javier sing and play music. I recently posted that they were chosen to be part of a National Competition in Cuba…..a bit like a mix of The Voice and American Idol. In this case, a composer and singer would be judged throughout the competition for the same song. It would have to continue to go up against other original songs, each time defending their interpretation and advancing if possible. Duo Iris made it all the way to the Grand Finale. In fact, they received 2nd place!!! AND, there is other great news associated. If you want to watch them perform, scroll to about minute 10:08. After the performance, watch for another minute or two to see their big news…….even if you don’t understand Spanish you will understand what happens. At minute 131.30 you can seem them receive the news of their 2nd place finish.
