SUMMER IS BUSY

Yup, I get it. When you are in the travel business, and when your clients live in the Northern Hemisphere, the phones go quiet in Summer. Generally, they start ringing again in September as anglers start thinking about where they should go to escape the colder months of the year.

Well, I recognize this, but am still going to remind people of trips I have planned for Cuba in 2025. I have some available space. Reach out with questions, and then join me. Bragging doesn’t come naturally to me (yeah right:) but few people have fished or lead trips to Cuba more than I have. This means that coming with me ensures that you will be with someone who knows the ropes, and will give you insight into the country of Cuba, the people, the economics, and of course, the fishing.

Trip #1 to highlight is Playa Larga. This is an outsider, as many people see the much-advertised live-aboard boat trips in Cuba. Here, we stay on land in the fishing village of Playa Larga, on the shores of the Bay of Pigs. We see life in Cuba every morning and every evening, and guests come away with a better appreciation for the people and the struggles they face.

We fish the flats of Las Salinas, and the Rio Hatiguanico. This means we get a bit of everything when it comes to flats fish, and with this timing, better shots of the more prolific Tarpon opportunities of Spring and Summer.
